Euro-DEN research group meeting

The Euro-DEN Plus project collects data from sentinel hospital emergency rooms across Europe, on acute recreational drug and NPS new psychoactive substance toxicity. It has expanded from the original 16 centres in 10 countries (2013/14) to 32 centres in 22 countries (2018/19) to increase the geographical reach and representativeness of the dataset.

Data from Euro-DEN Plus has been reported in the European Drug Report since 2016, as a first step in addressing starting to address the public health knowledge gap on the acute harms associated with the use of drug uses and NPS in Europe. The EMCDDA supports the project and is shosting this meeting of the Euro-DEN Plus network and representatives from the national focal points. There will be scientific presentations as well as round table discussions on the future development of the Euro-DEN Plus network and complementarity of Euro-DEN Plus data with other indicators reported to the EMCDDA.
