The EMCDDA has been building a network of Legal and Policy Correspondents for 20 years with the objective of providing reliable information and finding similarities between the legal system around European Union countries.

Every year the network meets in Lisbon to discuss the latest issues and to help the EMCDDA, among others: translate and explain national laws; explain the relevance of other laws and how they link together; inform on how a law is affected by a Constitutional Court judgement; or how a ministry is drafting a new law.

This year’s meeting will take place online and will be expanded to include a restricted session for partners from the EMCDDA-IPA7 and EU4MD projects on 14 October.
